Charts and tables need to convey information in a clear and concise manner. In order to do so one of the main considerations is adequate space which allows the chart to be displayed clearly along with the corresponding labels and legends. Consider a bar chart representing revenue for different product categories, if the labels are long (say more than 15 characters) the labels might end up overshadowing the sales numbers!!
